February 28th is the birthday of comedian turned hero, Sunil. Born as Sunil Varma in 1974, Sunil turns 38 today. His is a true rags to riches story. He spent his childhood in Bhimavaram and he lost his father when he was just 5 years old. His family faced a lot of difficulties during those stages. Sunil had a keen interest in dance and he was a hardcore fan of MegastarChiranjeevi. But due to Sunil’s physique, he could not get many opportunities in the localdrama or dance circuits.

After completing his BA, Sunil ended up in Hyderabad to pursue his dreams. He tried to be a dancer, an art director and even a villain. But fate had other ideas for him. After being cast in the movie ‘Nuvve Kavaali’, there was no looking back for this talented artiste. He soon went on to become one of the leading comedians of the Telugu Industry. With ‘Andala Ramudu’, he turned hero and the film was a success. He scored two other hits as a hero with ‘Maryada Ramanna’ and ‘Poola Rangadu’.

“I will always choose subjects which have comedy and entertainment built into them. Comedy is my strength and I should not miss it” , says Sunil.
