The Lumia series from Nokia will have its new member, the Lumia 900, added to the shelves from April 8th. The device won the best smartphone award in January when it was unveiled at CES 2012. The device was rumoured to be available from the second half of March but we have reports suggesting the tentative date to be April 8.
The premium device set for AT&T release has created a lot of buzz around the web for the final launch date but now the April 8 seems to be confirmed. An Assistant Manager at an AT&T store in California has given a heads up at The Verge forums about the tentative date from AT&T. They have received a demo of the product and are gearing up for the training on the device.
On another post at WPCentral, the same person seems to have commented with April 8th being the date for online availability and will be in stores from the April 9th. According to him AT&T has been treating this launch in the same way as they have been treating the launch of iPhone. They will be getting only two colours i.e. Black and Cyan with a White one to come if the device performs well in sales figures.
WPCentral also confirms that the final software for Lumia 900 will be out tomorrow (i.e. 15th March). So the launch date still stands in as a rumour unless it is confirmed by Nokia or AT&T officially. We will keep you updated as soon as we receive any further confirmations.
